Chapter 4 - The Midnight ConfessionElliot didn't open the envelope immediately. He stood motionless, the neon lights of the city casting long, distorted shadows across his face.

"If Maisie is alive," Elliot whispered, his voice dangerously low, "where is she?"

Marcus’s smile faded, replaced by a look of grim calculation. "That’s the million-dollar question, isn't it? Or rather, the multi-billion-dollar question. My father didn't just hide her; he locked her away in a psychiatric facility under a false identity when she tried to expose how Vance Nutrition was initially funded through corporate embezzlement. For thirty years, she’s been medicated, silenced, and kept off the grid."

"And Lily?" Elliot demanded, stepping right up to Marcus, towering over him. "How did Lily end up at Somerset House?"

"Because someone inside our network smuggled her out," Marcus said, his eyes darting slightly. "Someone who wanted to use the child as leverage against you. Elliot, listen to me carefully. If the board finds out about Maisie, and if Lily’s identity as the legal heir is authenticated, our stock will plummet ninety percent overnight. Hostile acquisitions will tear the company apart. You’ll lose everything."

"I don't give a damn about the company," Elliot snapped. "My sister has spent thirty years in hell while I was posing on magazine covers as the 'Food King'! I'm going to get her out."

"You can't," Marcus warned, his voice turning icy. "Because my father’s faction already knows you found the girl. And right now, men are heading to Somerset House to secure the asset."

Elliot’s blood ran cold. Somerset House.

Without another word, Elliot spun around, grabbed his car keys from the console, and sprinted toward the private elevator.
