Chapter 6 - The Fall of the Titan
BOOM!
The floor beneath them violently buckled as charges planted in the building's electrical sub-station detonated. The remaining lights burned out instantly, dropping the hospital into pitch blackness.
Before the Senator’s private military squad could react, Alexander dropped low, sweeping the Senator's legs out from under him and grabbing him by the throat. He slammed the politician against the concrete wall, plunging a combat needle into his neck—a high-dose sedative.
"Your private army doesn't control this city, Harrison," Alexander hissed into the fading politician's ear. "I do."
As the Senator collapsed unconscious, Alexander sprinted down the stairwell, bursting out into the rain-slicked alleyway behind the hospital.
A black armored SUV slammed to a halt right in front of him. The door slid open. Marcus was in the driver's seat, bleeding from a graze on his temple. In the back seat, wrapped in a tactical jacket, was Lily. She was trembling, but alive.
"They tried to intercept us at the perimeter," Marcus yelled over the roar of the engine. "We took out three of their chase vehicles, but they’ve locked down the bridges! We can't get out of the city!"
Alexander jumped into the passenger seat, slamming the door. "We aren't leaving the city. We're going to the City Hall."
Marcus looked at him in shock. "City Hall? Boss, that's where the press conference for Senator Cole’s presidential campaign is happening right now!"
"Exactly," Alexander said, plugging the silver flash drive into a hardened military laptop mounted on the dashboard. "It’s time to broadcast the truth to thirty million people."
As the laptop screen flickered to life, line after line of encrypted code bypassed the security firewalls. Evelyn hadn't just stored the defense keys on the drive.
She had recorded everything.

Audio files, bank transactions, video logs—documenting every single meeting between Senator Cole, Victoria, and international syndicate bosses. Evelyn had known she was going to be murdered, and she had turned her own death into the ultimate trap.
And at the very top of the file directory was a video titled: "For Alexander and Lily. Open when it's over."
