Chapter 2 - The Medical Emergency & The Shadow DynastyThe red light above Operating Room 1 hummed with terrifying urgency.

Marcus stood outside the glass doors, his hands soaked in his wife’s blood. The billionaire tech mogul, feared by Wall Street and respected by world leaders, felt utterly powerless.

"If she dies, Marcus," Alexander said softly, standing beside him with his arms crossed, "your billions won't save you from me. You let that snake into your inner circle."

"I never touched Isabella," Marcus said, his voice raw with grief and rage. "She was a business partner's daughter. I tolerated her presence for a merger contract. I didn't see how sick she was."

"Then you were blind," Alexander replied. "Khloe never told you about her real family background because she wanted to know if you loved her, not the Vance empire. But tonight, the gloves come off."

Inside the operating room, doctors fought placental abruption caused by the physical trauma. Minute by minute, Khloe’s vitals plummeted.

Meanwhile, down in the VIP holding lounge, Isabella was frantically dialing her father, Richard Rossi, head of Rossi International Logistics.

"Daddy! You need to pull strings right now!" Isabella shrieked into the phone. "The Vances have security footage! They’re going to ruin me!"

"What did you do, you foolish girl?!" Richard roared over the phone. "Alexander Vance just froze our international shipping lines! Bank of America just cancelled our credit facilities! Our stock is dropping 40% in pre-market trading!"

"Fix it!" Isabella cried. "Send the family lawyers!"
