Chapter 6 - Betrayal in the ShadowInside the high-security VIP wing, the lights flickered momentarily as the hospital backup generators kicked in due to a minor grid disruption.

The rogue guard, disguised as an ICU nurse, slid past the security checkpoint using Julian’s stolen master key card.
He slipped into Khloe’s darkened room. The rhythmic hum of the life-support machines was the only sound.
"Julian sends his regards," the rogue guard whispered, raising the syringe toward Khloe's IV line.
Suddenly, the bedside monitor went dark.
A hand reached out from the darkness like a steel vise, grabbing the guard's wrist and twisting it until the syringe dropped to the floor with a soft clatter.
"Did you really think General Alexander Vance leaves his niece unguarded?"
The lights slammed back on. Sitting in the armchair next to the bed wasn't a defenseless patient—it was an operative team, while Khloe had already been moved to a secondary secure surgical suite an hour prior!
The guard was slammed onto the floor and subdued within seconds.
At that exact moment, in the secondary suite, Khloe’s eyes slowly fluttered open.
Marcus rushed to her side, tears finally overflowing his eyes. "Khloe... you're awake."
Khloe raised a weak hand, touching his cheek. "The baby... Marcus, is our baby okay?"

The doctor smiled, stepping forward. "Mrs. Thorne, your baby girl is a fighter. She is stable, and emergency delivery will not be necessary. You both survived."
CHAPTER HOOK: Khloe squeezed Marcus's hand, but her expression wasn't fragile anymore—it was cold, calculated, and sharp as diamonds. "Marcus," she whispered, "it's time to reveal who I really am."
