Chapter 6 - THE FINAL REVELATION

“Julian, put the gun down!” Victoria demanded, stepping in front of Eleanor. “Arthur is using you! Once Eleanor and I are gone, he will eliminate you next!”
Julian chuckled, a chilling sound that echoed off the metallic walls. “Oh, Victoria... you still don't understand, do you? Arthur didn't recruit me. I recruited Arthur.”
Victoria stared at him in disbelief.
“Seven years ago, I discovered that the Vance family wealth wasn't built on shipping or real estate,” Julian revealed, taking a step closer. “Your father made his fortune through high-level corporate espionage and stolen government assets. Eleanor found out and wanted to donate the entire fortune to charity. I couldn't let her ruin my future.”
“So you tried to kill her!” Victoria screamed.
“I tried to keep the wealth intact!” Julian shouted back. “And then I seduced you, Victoria. I spent seven years building your trust, waiting for the day we married so I could legally control every asset in your name. Once we signed the certificate tonight, you were supposed to have a tragic 'accident' on our honeymoon.”
Eleanor stepped forward, her eyes blazing with defiance. “You forgot one thing, Julian.”
“Oh? And what’s that?” Julian sneered, raising his gun to point directly at Eleanor’s head.
“Leo.”
Outside the vessel, a deafening siren suddenly blared across the harbor. Searchlights flooded the yacht through the portholes.
Leo hadn't waited twenty minutes. The second he saw Julian’s men heading toward the ship, he hit the emergency satellite distress signal.
Over the ship’s loudspeakers, a voice boomed: “THIS IS THE COAST GUARD AND FEDERAL AUTHORITIES. BOARDING TEAMS ARE APPROACHING. DROP YOUR WEAPONS IMMEDIATELY.”
Panic flashed in Arthur’s eyes. “Julian, we need to leave NOW!”

“Not without finishing this!” Julian roared, aiming at Victoria.
Victoria lunged.
