Chapter 5 - The Final Performance

Hook: A loaded gun, a grand piano, and a secret hidden in plain sight.
The guests panicked, screaming and scrambling toward the exits, but Victor’s men blocked the doors. The grand restaurant had become a luxurious prison.
Mark crawled toward Victor, begging on his knees. "Mr. Vance! Please! She tricked me! I didn't know she was Volkov's daughter! Save my assets!"
Victor kicked Mark away like a stray dog. "You outlived your usefulness the moment you signed that paper, Mark. Fool." He turned his cold, predatory gaze back to Anna. "Now, Anastasia. Your father was a brilliant man, but he was weak. He hid the offshore account decryption keys—the ones holding three billion dollars of our syndicate’s blood money—inside a musical score. I burned your house down looking for it. I thought it was destroyed. But when I heard someone played The Symphony of the Broken Lily tonight... I knew."
Victor drew a silenced pistol from his coat and pointed it directly at Anna’s forehead.
"You survived because you have the memory of that score. The notes are the code. Sit down at that piano and play the full, unedited sequence for my recording device, or I will paint this pretty room with your brains."
Emma was sobbing on the floor, and Mark was hyperventilating, but Anna looked down the barrel of the gun without a single flicker of fear.
"You think you won, Victor?" Anna asked softly.
"I always win," Victor sneered. "Play. Now."
Anna slowly walked back to the grand piano. She sat down on the velvet stool. She looked at the keys, then up at the ceiling, where the hidden security cameras she had installed just two days ago were streaming live.
"My father knew you would come for us, Victor," Anna said, her fingers hovering over the keys. "He knew you were a parasite. He didn't hide the decryption keys to give them to you. He hid them to destroy you."
She slammed her hands down on the keys. But this time, it wasn't a beautiful melody. It was a harsh, dissonant, piercing sequence of chords—a specific frequency and pattern that her father had taught her as a child.
Suddenly, the restaurant’s digital mainframe, which Anna had linked to the piano’s electronic sensors via a smart-modem, initiated a massive, automated sequence.
The large digital screens on the restaurant walls flickered to life. Instead of menus, they began scrolling through thousands of leaked documents, bank routing numbers, hit-contracts, and money-laundering ledgers connecting Victor Vance to international cartels, political bribery, and the arson of the Volkov estate.
"What is this?!" Victor roared, aiming the gun. "Stop playing!"
"It’s a dead-man's switch, Victor!" Anna shouted over the roaring music. "The moment this specific sequence is played on this connected piano, the entire Volkov database is broadcasted live to the Interpol, the FBI, and every major news network in the world! It's already gone viral!"
