Chapter 6 - THE HOA DEATH SQUAD"Lock down the building!" Robert roared, releasing Marcus and spinning around to face the reinforced glass doors.

"Too late, Sheriff!" Marcus shouted, scrambling to his feet and diving behind a concrete pillar, drawing his own weapon.

The front glass doors shattered into a million glittering shards as a deafening volley of automatic gunfire ripped through the precinct lobby. Plaster exploded from the walls, computers sparked and died, and deputies scrambled for cover behind desks and filing cabinets.

"They're burning the evidence!" Deputy Miller yelled over the deafening roar of gunfire, firing blindly toward the entrance.

Through the smoke, half a dozen heavily armed men in black tactical gear and HOA armbands poured into the lobby. Leading the assault wasn't a foot soldier—it was Diana Harrington, holding a customized assault rifle with terrifying familiarity, her linen blazer now stained with soot and blood.

"Clear every desk! Find that flash drive!" Diana shrieked over the din of battle, her pristine neighborhood persona completely shattered, replaced by a ruthless killer.

In the back office, Robert kicked open the armory door. "Grab heavy artillery! We're fighting our way to the underground motor pool!"
