Chapter 8 - Epilogue – The New Dynasty

One year later, the front page of the New York Times Style section featured a photo that made history.
It wasn't a picture of a scandal, a courtroom battle, or a catastrophic society wedding. It was a picture of a quiet, elegant garden wedding held at our estate in the Hamptons.
In the center of the photo stood Dominic and me. I wore a minimalist, breathtaking silk gown that caught the afternoon light, while Chloe—now walking and wobbling adorably—held the edge of my veil in her tiny hands, laughing up at the camera.
There were no reporters from tabloid rags, no corrupt board members, and no ghosts from my past. Just our closest friends, a handful of trusted colleagues, and an unbreakable foundation built on truth, resilience, and fierce, unyielding love.
Grant Kingsley’s name was a distant memory, a cautionary tale whispered in the dark corners of Wall Street about what happens when you underestimate a woman you tried to break.
As the sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in brilliant shades of gold and violet, Dominic pulled me close onto the dance floor. The string quartet played a soft, sweeping melody, and the gentle ocean breeze carried away any remaining echoes of yesterday.
“Happy?” Dominic asked, resting his chin gently against the top of my head.

I looked over at our daughter, who was currently trying to feed her teddy bear a piece of wedding cake, and then up at the man who had given me back my life, my dignity, and my heart.
“Happier than I ever imagined,” I whispered, closing my eyes and letting the music carry us into our future.
