Chapter 10 - The Cage That Became a ThroneDawn broke over the Montana mountains, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of gold, rose, and indigo. The air was crisp, clean, and entirely free of shadows.

Inside the master suite of the Voss Estate, Elena stood by the large arched window, holding little Alexander in her arms as he slept peacefully against her shoulder. The door opened softly, and Adrian stepped into the room.

He looked tired, the faint shadows under his dark eyes the only evidence of a long, sleepless night spent dismantling an entire syndicate. But as his gaze landed on Elena and his son, every harsh line of his face melted away.

He walked across the room, wrapping his arms around Elena from behind, pressing his face gently into the curve of her neck. She leaned back against his solid chest, letting out a long, contented sigh.

"It’s over, isn't it?" she whispered, turning her head slightly to look up at him.

"It’s over," Adrian confirmed, his deep voice rich with absolute finality. "Damon is in a maximum-security cell. The Syndicate is leaderless and scattering. No one will ever touch you again."

Elena turned fully around in his arms, careful not to wake the baby. She looked up into his dark, intense eyes—the same eyes that had once looked down at her through the frozen bars of a steel kennel.

"You remember where we first met?" she asked softly, a faint, teasing smile touching her lips. "When you found me locked inside that dog shed in the snow?"

Adrian smiled, a rare, genuine expression that transformed his dangerous features into something breathtakingly warm. He reached up, gently tracing the soft line of her jaw with his thumb.

"I remember every single detail," Adrian murmured, his voice thick with quiet devotion. "I remember thinking that whoever built that cage had no idea what kind of monster they were inviting into their house."

He leaned down, pressing a deep, tender kiss to her lips, sealing their past, their present, and an unbreakable future together.

Outside in the sunlit courtyard, the steel kennel had already been dismantled, hauled away, and forgotten forever. In its place stood an empire built not on fear, but on absolute, untouchable love—a throne where neither of them would ever be trapped again.
