Chapter 10 - The Game BeginsThe private jet sliced through the midnight clouds somewhere over Eastern Europe, its twin jet engines roaring against the freezing gale.

Inside the luxury cabin, Sofia stood by the reinforced window, staring down into the impenetrable darkness of the Carpathian mountains below. The city lights of Paris were a million miles away. Here, the world was wild, lawless, and shrouded in ancient secrets.

In her hand, she held the flashing digital drive containing the coordinates transmitted by the mysterious messenger who had hacked her terminal.

Leo walked up behind her, handing her a secure satellite phone and a heavy-duty tactical tracking unit.

“We’re thirty minutes out from the drop zone,” Leo said, his voice laced with caution. “The coordinates point to an abandoned Cold War-era biomedical research bunker buried deep inside the Romanian mountains. Sofia turned around. The frightened blind girl on the park bench was gone forever. In her place stood a formidable young woman whose eyes burned with the unyielding fire of justice, intellect, and unbreakable blood ties.

“Let them set the trap,” Sofia said, a cold, fearless smile touching her lips as the jet descended into the howling storm below. “Because the wolves just woke up the apex predator.”
