CHAPTER 2: THE GHOST IN THE MIRROR

The mind games began a week later.
Daniel was the first to crack. It started with the smell of Emily’s favorite lavender perfume lingering in their locked bedroom. Then, Michael found a damp footprint on the yacht's deck—exactly where they had pushed her off.
The brothers grew paranoid, snapping at each other. “Did you actually see her sink?” Michael hissed one night in their study. “Of course I did! She’s fish food!” Daniel roared, pouring his fourth glass of whiskey.
Then came the real terror.
During a massive gala dinner celebrating their new "business expansion," a video suddenly played on the ballroom’s giant projector instead of their corporate presentation. It was a audio-visual recording—the very one Emily had taken on her phone before her "death," spliced with a horrifying addition: a live audio feed of Daniel and Michael discussing how they threw her overboard.
The room went dead silent. The guests gasped.

Panicking, Daniel and Michael fled the gala, rushing to their cars. But on Daniel's dashboard, written in foggy condensation, were the words: I’M A VERY GOOD SWIMMER, DANNY.
Terrified and turning on each other, the twins drove frantically to their mastermind headquarters—the old warehouse by the port—to grab their cash and flee the country. They didn't realize they were walking straight into a beautifully orchestrated slaughterhouse.
