Chapter 4 - The Vengeance of a Sleeping Dog"Get your coat," Dante said.

Elena shook her head weakly. "Dante, no. Salvatore is still out there. If he finds out I’m alive—if he finds out we have daughters—"

"Salvatore won't see tomorrow's sunrise," Dante interrupted.

He stood up, his face hardening into the mask of the underworld king he had buried beneath grief. He pulled out his encrypted satellite phone, dialing a single speed dial.

"Nico."

"Boss?"

"Call the inner circle. Wake up every soldier from Southie to the North End. I want every route to Salvatore’s estate locked down within twenty minutes. No cars in, no cars out. If anyone breathes near his gates without my permission, put a bullet in their engine block."

"You found her?" Nico asked, shock evident in his gruff tone.

"I found her. And now," Dante’s eyes flashed with a lethal, cold fury, "it's time to collect interest on a seven-year-old debt."

Dante turned back to Elena, gently lifting her into his arms as easily as if she were a child. She was impossibly light—too light. The three little girls crowded around his legs, grabbing his trousers, their eyes wide with awe and fear.

"You're safe now," Dante told them, his voice dropping an octave as he looked down at his daughters. "Daddy is home."
