CHAPTER 2 — "The Secret Behind the Rusty Key"

No one spoke.
The same guests who had laughed seconds earlier now stared in stunned silence.
The showroom owner carefully picked up the brass key with both hands, almost as though it were made of gold.
"I never thought I'd see this again."
The elderly woman smiled sadly.
"My husband told me not to lose it."
The owner swallowed hard.
"He saved my father's life."
Confused whispers spread through the hall.
"What is happening?"
The owner turned toward the crowd.
"Twenty-three years ago, my father owned nothing except a tiny repair garage."
"He was drowning in debt."
"The banks refused to help."
"He was preparing to close forever."
He looked back at Eleanor.
"Then her husband walked into that garage."
Everyone listened.
"He wasn't rich."
"He wasn't famous."
"But he believed my father deserved another chance."
The owner pointed toward the brass key.
"That key belonged to the very first showroom they built together."
"He invested every dollar he had."
"Without him..."
"There would be no empire."
Gasps echoed across the hall.
The owner continued.
"When my father became successful, he begged Mr. Harrison to become a business partner."
"But he refused."
"He said one thing I'll never forget..."
"Wealth only matters if it opens doors for people who can't."
The owner wiped away tears.
"He kept only one thing."
"The original key."
"And promised one day his family would return."
The host's face turned white.
"But..."
"If she's his wife..."
The owner nodded.
"Then she owns thirty-five percent of this entire company."
The livestream ended instantly.
The influencer quietly deleted every video.
Security guards stepped backward.
Photographers lowered their cameras.
The little boy looked up at his grandmother.
"You never told me Grandpa helped build this place."
She smiled.
"He wanted you to grow up kind before you learned what you owned."
The room remained silent.
Everyone believed the humiliation was over.
They were wrong.
Because Eleanor hadn't come to claim money.
May you like
She had come to expose betrayal.
And someone inside that showroom was about to lose everything.
