CHAPTER 2 — THE HUNTERS BECOME THE HUNTED

Military rescue protocol was absolute.

The moment an emergency beacon activated, every nearby aircraft changed mission.

Within minutes...

Two rescue helicopters lifted off.

A combat medical team followed.

Then came something no one expected.

Three black helicopters carrying military investigators.

The commander himself arrived.

No one understood why.

Until an intelligence officer quietly whispered into his ear.

The commander's expression froze.

"What did you say?"

"Sir... the victim isn't just another recruit."

Inside the first helicopter, the three soldiers looked increasingly nervous.

One of them forced a laugh.

"She probably jumped."

Another nodded.

"Yeah... nobody saw anything."

But they had forgotten one crucial detail.

Military helicopters record everything.

Cockpit cameras.

Door cameras.

Helmet cameras.

Flight audio.

GPS telemetry.

Every second.

As investigators downloaded the footage, silence filled the operations tent.

No one spoke.

The video showed everything.

The shove.

Kate grabbing the rail.

Her desperate screams.

The deliberate kick that crushed her fingers.

Then...

Her body disappearing into open air.

No accident.

No misunderstanding.

Attempted murder.

The commander slowly removed his cap.

"I've served for thirty-four years..."

"...and I've never seen soldiers betray their own like this."

Before anyone could react—

Another radio transmission arrived.

"We found her."

Everyone turned.

The medic's voice sounded almost unbelievable.

"She's alive..."

"...and she's asking for the mission report."

Even while lying on a stretcher with broken bones...

Kate's first concern wasn't revenge.

It was whether the exercise had been completed successfully.

The entire rescue team stood speechless.

Meanwhile...

The three soldiers realized something horrifying.

May you like

This wasn't going to end with disciplinary action.

Military police vehicles were already driving toward them.
