Chapter 4 - The Hidden WireJulian’s face drained of all color. His hand trembled as he reached for his drink.

"You're bluffing," Julian stammered, though panic was clearly consuming him. "The police ruled it an accident! A brake failure!"

"A brake failure caused by a remote telemetry override," Clara corrected him, her voice chillingly steady. "An override sent from your personal laptop at 11:42 PM on October 14th."

Julian leaned closer, his eyes bloodshot with rage. "Give me that drive, Clara. Give it to me right now, or I swear to God—"

"Or what?" Clara interrupted, raising her voice so the surrounding rows could hear. "Are you going to attack a mother and her baby on a commercial airliner?"

Several male passengers in Row 11 and Row 13 stood up immediately, glaring at Julian.

"Is there a problem here, pal?" a burly man in Row 11 barked at Julian.

"Mind your own business!" Julian shouted back, losing control.

Suddenly, the plane hit severe turbulence. The cabin shook violently, causing drinks to spill and overhead bins to rattle. The overhead lights flickered and went black for three terror-filled seconds.
