Chapter 7 - The Final Trial of BloodTwo weeks later, the Supreme Court held a special closed-door hearing to formally reinstate Victoria Vance Harrington’s legal identity and restore all seized assets.

The courtroom was packed with the region’s elite—billionaires, politicians, and media moguls who had once snubbed the "poor housekeeper."
The defense attorney representing the remnants of Montgomery Global tried one final desperate maneuver. “Your Honor! We demand a full psychiatric evaluation and a second DNA test! Amnesia does not automatically grant legal sanity! How can a woman who lived as a cleaning lady for three years manage a multi-billion-dollar global conglomerate?”
The judge turned to Emily, who sat calmly beside Michael and their lead legal team. “Mrs. Harrington, do you have a response to the defense’s motion?”
Emily stood up gracefully. She did not open a folder of legal notes. Instead, she took out a small black leather notebook—the daily logbook she had kept for three years while working as the housekeeper.
“Your Honor,” Emily began, her voice carrying across the silent courtroom. “For three years, while cleaning the executive offices of Harrington-Montgomery Enterprises, I listened to every board meeting through those doors. I logged every illegal insider trade Arthur Montgomery ordered. I noted every forged signature on the shipping manifests. I wrote down the offshore account numbers where fifty million dollars of my son’s trust fund were moved.”
She handed the notebook to the bailiff, who passed it up to the judge.
The judge flicked through the pages, his eyes widening in shock at the meticulous detail, dates, financial figures, and account codes recorded in crisp, clear handwriting.
“This logbook,” the judge murmured, looking up at Emily in disbelief, “is the most comprehensive piece of corporate forensic evidence I have ever seen.”

“I may have lost my memory of my name, Your Honor,” Emily said with a subtle, confident smile. “But I never lost my intelligence. They thought I was just sweeping the floor... but I was building the cage that would put them away forever.”
The courtroom erupted into quiet gasps. Michael looked at his wife with unbridled admiration, a tear slipping down his cheek.
