CHAPTER 3 — Camille's Biggest Lie
As lawyers rushed into the mansion, Camille suddenly screamed.
"I'm pregnant too!"
Everyone stopped.
She smiled through fake tears.
"I'm carrying Adrian's son!"
She believed the announcement would protect her.
Richard simply nodded toward the family physician who had arrived with the security team.
"Congratulations."
"Let's confirm it."
Camille's confidence cracked.
"No...that's unnecessary."
"It is necessary."
Thirty minutes later...
The doctor returned holding medical results.
"There is no pregnancy."
Camille froze.
Richard looked disappointed.
"But there is something else."
He held up another report.
"For the last seven months..."
"...Miss Camille has been transferring company cryptocurrency into private wallets."
Adrian stared at her.
"What?"
She stepped backward.
"I did it for us!"
"No."
She laughed hysterically.
"I did it for me."
She pulled a hidden passport from her purse and sprinted toward the helicopter pad.
She never made it.
Federal investigators were already waiting.
Someone had anonymously tipped them off.
