CHAPTER 1 — "THE BOY WHO WALKED TOWARD THE KILLER BULL... WHAT HAPPENED NEXT FROZE AN ENTIRE VILLAGE."

The scream came before the impact.
"RUN!"
Hundreds of people leaped to their feet as Demon exploded across the arena like a living avalanche. Nearly nine hundred kilograms of muscle and rage thundered toward the skinny barefoot teenager.
The distance between them disappeared in seconds.
Women covered their eyes.
Children buried their faces in their parents' shoulders.
Several men climbed onto the fences, certain they were about to witness a tragedy no one would ever forget.
Don Mateo clenched the envelope containing one hundred thousand euros until his knuckles turned white.
"I told him..." he whispered.
"I warned him."
The boy, however, never moved.
Not a single step.
His old shirt fluttered in the hot wind while the enormous bull charged closer and closer.
Thirty meters...
Twenty...
Fifteen...
People began counting without realizing it.
"He's dead..."
"No one survives that..."
Even the musicians stopped playing.
The only sound left was the terrifying rhythm of pounding hooves shaking the ground.
Then...
Ten meters away...
The impossible happened.
The boy slowly raised one hand.
Not to fight.
Not to defend himself.
Simply... an open hand.
Demon suddenly slammed all four hooves into the dirt.
The massive animal skidded forward, throwing clouds of dust into the air before stopping barely two feet from the teenager.
The arena fell into absolute silence.
The bull lowered his head.
Steam poured from his nostrils.
His horns were close enough to tear through the boy's chest with the slightest movement.
Nobody breathed.
Then the boy spoke.
His voice was so soft that only the bull could hear.
"It's okay..."
"I'm not here to hurt you."
The animal blinked.
Its ears twitched.
For the first time in years, Demon didn't attack.
He simply stared.
The crowd looked at one another in disbelief.
"What did he say?"
"Did... did the bull actually stop?"
Don Mateo couldn't believe his own eyes.
Every professional trainer had carried ropes, whips, electric prods, and metal barriers.
This child carried nothing.
Only calm.
The boy slowly reached toward Demon's forehead.
Thousands of people gasped together.
One touch...
That was all it would take for the bull to kill him.
His fingertips finally rested between the animal's eyes.
Nothing happened.
Instead...
The monster closed his eyes.
A tear rolled down the side of the bull's face.
The laughter disappeared from every face in the stadium.
No one understood what they were witnessing.
But an old man standing near the fence suddenly turned pale.
He stared at the boy as though he had seen a ghost.
"No..."
May you like
"It can't be..."
"I know who that child is."
