CHAPTER 1 – The Man Nobody Recognized

Every biker in the diner laughed when the old man quietly asked for another cup of coffee.
He wore a simple navy suit that looked decades old. No expensive watch. No bodyguards. No flashy car parked outside. Just an elderly stranger sitting alone in the corner, sipping coffee while surrounded by some of the toughest bikers in the state.
The waitress leaned over and whispered nervously.
"Sir... today's the annual Iron Reapers rally. Maybe you'd feel safer somewhere else."
The old man smiled without looking up.
"I've waited thirty years for today. I'm not leaving."
The words made no sense.
Across the room, the club's president, Rex Maddox, noticed him.
"You lost, Grandpa?" Rex sneered as his men burst into laughter.
The old man calmly folded his newspaper.
"No."
"You sure? Because this place belongs to us today."
"It used to," the old man replied softly.
The room instantly fell silent.
One biker slammed his fist onto the table.
"What did you just say?"
The stranger simply lifted his coffee and took another slow sip.
No fear.
No anger.
Just patience.
Rex stepped closer until they were only inches apart.
"You've got thirty seconds to explain yourself before we drag you outside."
Instead of answering, the old man pulled out an old smartphone.
He looked at the screen...
Typed a single message...
And pressed SEND.
Then he placed the phone back into his pocket.
"Now," he said calmly, "we wait."
The bikers exploded with laughter.
"Did Grandpa just call 911?"
"No."
"I called the people who own this town."
The laughter became even louder.
Outside...
Nothing happened.
Five seconds...
Ten...
Twenty...
Then...
A strange vibration shook the diner floor.
The windows rattled.
Everyone turned toward the parking lot.
Dust filled the highway.
Headlights appeared.
Not one.
Not five.
Not ten.
May you like
An entire convoy of black trucks rolled toward the diner.
And they weren't slowing down.
