CHAPTER 2 – The King Behind the Curtain

Thirty identical black SUVs surrounded the diner within seconds.
Every door opened at once.
Dozens of men and women in tailored black suits stepped out with military precision.
Nobody spoke.
Nobody smiled.
They simply formed two perfect lines leading to the entrance.
The bikers suddenly stopped laughing.
Rex frowned.
"What the hell is this?"
Then one final vehicle arrived.
A black limousine.
The driver rushed to open the rear door.
Out stepped a silver-haired woman carrying a leather briefcase.
She walked straight past every biker...
Stopped in front of the old man...
And bowed her head.
"Good afternoon, Chairman."
The diner froze.
Chairman?
The woman placed the briefcase on the table.
"Your acquisition is complete."
She opened it.
Inside were property deeds.
Business contracts.
Bank documents.
And one final certificate.
Rex grabbed it before anyone could stop him.
His face turned white.
The diner...
The gas station next door...
The motel across the street...
The land beneath the biker clubhouse...
Every single property now belonged to one corporation.
A corporation whose sole owner was...
The quiet old man everyone had mocked.
Rex stumbled backward.
"You... you bought the whole town?"
The old man finally stood.
"No."
"I built it."
He slowly looked around the diner.
"Thirty-five years ago, I loaned your father enough money to start this club."
"He promised to protect this community."
"Instead..."
"You turned it into a business built on fear."
The old man reached into his pocket and placed an old photograph on the table.
It showed a much younger Rex's father shaking hands with him in front of the diner decades earlier.
"I came today hoping someone still remembered loyalty."
"No one did."
He nodded once toward the woman.
"Begin Phase Two."
Every phone inside the diner buzzed simultaneously.
The bikers checked their screens.
Their bank accounts...
Frozen.
Their business licenses...
Revoked.
Their clubhouse lease...
Terminated effective immediately.
Rex stared at the old man in disbelief.
"You planned this?"
The old man gave a faint smile.
"No."
"I gave you thirty years to prove me wrong."
Then he walked toward the door.
But before leaving, he stopped...
Turned around...
And delivered one sentence that made everyone realize this day wasn't about revenge at all.
"I'm not here to destroy the Iron Reapers..."
"I'm here because one of your own asked me to save what's left of them."
The room fell into stunned silence.
May you like
Someone inside the biker club had secretly betrayed their own president...
And the traitor was standing in that diner at that very moment.
