CHAPTER 3 – The Traitor at Table Seven

The old man’s words hung in the air like a loaded gun.

“One of your own asked me to save what’s left of them.”

Rex slowly turned around.

Every biker looked at each other.

No one breathed.

Then a chair scraped across the floor.

At table seven, the youngest biker in the club stood up.

His name was Caleb.

Only twenty-two.

Quiet.

Always ignored.

Always treated like the errand boy.

Rex’s eyes narrowed.

“You?”

Caleb’s hands trembled, but he didn’t sit back down.

“I found the ledgers,” Caleb said. “The real ones.”

Rex’s face changed instantly.

Caleb reached into his jacket and pulled out a flash drive.

“For years, Rex has been stealing from the widows’ fund. From funeral collections. From families who trusted this club.”

The bikers froze.

One older member whispered, “That money was for Danny’s kids…”

Caleb nodded, tears in his eyes.

“It never reached them.”

Rex lunged forward.

But before he could touch Caleb, the old man’s security team stepped between them.

The old man looked at Rex coldly.

“You didn’t just betray a club.”

“You betrayed dead men.”

Rex shouted, “You think they’ll believe this kid over me?”

The old man smiled faintly.

“No.”

Then the diner TV suddenly switched on by itself.

Security footage appeared.

Rex.

In the clubhouse office.

Counting cash.

Laughing.

Burning donation envelopes.

The entire diner watched in silence.

Rex’s own men stepped away from him one by one.

For the first time in his life…

Rex Maddox stood alone.

Then Caleb said the sentence that destroyed him completely.

“My father didn’t die in an accident, did he?”

Rex went pale.

The old man turned slowly.

May you like

Because Caleb’s father…

Was the real reason he had come back.
