Chapter 13 - The Meridian EvictionWhile Crestmont Global was undergoing its surgical rebirth across the city, the shockwaves of Ethan’s downfall hit the luxury towers of Newbury Street with the force of an avalanche.

Sabrina Cole woke up in the master bedroom of her sunlit Meridian apartment at 11:00 AM, pouring herself a cup of Nespresso while scrolling through her tablet for brand strategy metrics.
Her phone buzzed violently against the marble kitchen island.
It wasn't Ethan. It was an email notification from the Meridian Tower property management office, marked URGENT: LEASE TERMINATION & EVICTION NOTICE.
Sabrina frowned, tapping open the file.
“Dear Resident, Please be advised that the corporate sponsorship agreement and auxiliary rent subsidies associated with Unit 34B have been instantly revoked following a Level-1 financial compliance audit by Aegis/Crestmont Global. All balances are due immediately, or property seizure proceedings will commence within 24 hours.”
Sabrina choked on her coffee, coughing sharply as panic flared in her chest. She grabbed her phone, immediately dialing Ethan’s private cell.
The number you have dialed is no longer in service or has been disconnected.
She tried his office line. It redirected straight to an automated compliance recording: “This extension is inactive.”
