Chapter 6 - The Midnight Coronation

The sun began to rise over the capital, casting long, golden fingers through the shattered windows of the Sterling mansion. The ballroom was empty of its luxury, transformed into a makeshift military command center.
Elena stood on the balcony, looking out over the city. The royal flags—the Golden Phoenix—were already flying high over the parliament buildings. The citizens were celebrating in the streets, realizing the tyranny of the oligarchs had finally come to an end.
Captain Thomas stepped up behind her, bowing low. "The capital is secure, Your Highness. The coronation ceremony is being prepared at the grand cathedral. The people are waiting for their Queen."
Elena looked down at her hands. They were still calloused from years of scrubbing floors, carrying heavy trays, and enduring the slaps and insults of the wealthy. She smiled, realizing those callouses were her true armor. They reminded her of the suffering of her people. They would ensure she never became a tyrant like the ones she overthrew.
"Thomas," she said softly.
"Yes, Your Majesty?"
"Find every servant, every maid, every cook, and every laborer who worked in this mansion."
Thomas blinked in surprise. "For what purpose, milady?"
The Ultimate Twist Ending: Elena turned around, her eyes shining with absolute authority and deep empathy.
"The High Council is dissolved. I am forming a new parliament. And the people who spent years watching the elites from the shadows—the ones who know every secret, every lie, and every true heart in this kingdom—will be the ones who sit in those seats. The era of the rich ruling the blind is over. From this day forward, the invisible will rule."
A week later, Elena was crowned Queen. Sitting in the front row of the royal court, wearing chains and rags, were Julian and Bartholomew Sterling, forced to watch as the very maid they had abused was anointed with holy oil, holding the scepter of absolute power.

As the crown was placed on Elena's head, she caught Julian's terrified eyes across the courtroom. She offered him one final, polite nod—the exact same nod she used to give him when she served his champagne.
Except this time, the entire world bowed with her.
