Several weeks later, Daniel found part-time work cleaning construction sites.
One afternoon, a lawyer approached him.
"Mrs. Rachel Carter asked me to give you this."
Inside the envelope was a handwritten letter.
Daniel's hands trembled as he unfolded it.
