🔥 CHAPTER 5 — "The Hidden Camera Revealed the Truth... and Everyone Turned Against the Millionaire's Family"

By sunrise, the story had exploded across the country.

Not because someone leaked it.

Because hundreds of guests had been livestreaming the birthday party before hurriedly deleting their videos.

Unfortunately for Sophia...

The internet never forgets.

Clips of her laughing as Eleonora disappeared beneath the water spread across every social media platform.

Millions watched the same horrifying moment.

"I can't swim..."

"Please don't..."

Splash.

Then silence.

The comments were merciless.

"She knew the maid couldn't swim."

"This wasn't a prank."

"She should be arrested."

"Money can't buy a conscience."

Television crews surrounded the Lancaster mansion before breakfast.

Reporters shouted questions through the gates.

"Is it true your daughter attempted to drown an employee?"

"Why did your staff delete security footage?"

"Did your family try to cover up the incident?"

Victor Lancaster refused to speak.

Inside the mansion, panic had replaced luxury.

Lawyers rushed through hallways carrying stacks of documents.

Public relations consultants argued over emergency statements.

Sophia sat in her bedroom, refreshing her phone every few seconds.

Her follower count was collapsing.

Brand partnerships disappeared one after another.

Companies that had once begged her to promote their products now announced they had permanently ended all cooperation.

But none of that frightened her as much as the knock on the front door.

Three detectives entered the mansion.

"We have a warrant."

Sophia looked at her father.

"Dad..."

Victor forced a smile.

"Don't worry."

"They have nothing."

One detective calmly replied,

"We'll decide that after reviewing the evidence."

Within minutes, police officers seized every security server in the mansion.

Sophia smirked.

"It won't matter."

"The cameras around the pool stopped working."

Victor quickly glanced at her.

"What did you say?"

"I..."

"You told me the cameras failed by themselves."

Sophia froze.

She had made a mistake.

The detectives noticed immediately.

One of them quietly asked,

"How did you know exactly which cameras were disabled?"

The room fell silent.

Victor's face slowly lost all color.

Before anyone could answer, a young IT investigator called from the security room.

"Detective!"

"We found something."

"What is it?"

"The main cameras were erased..."

He paused.

"...but someone forgot about the backup system."

Everyone turned.

"What backup system?"

"The underwater maintenance camera."

Sophia's heartbeat nearly stopped.

She had never known the swimming pool contained a hidden maintenance camera beneath the diving platform.

The detective smiled for the first time that day.

"Play it."

The screen lit up.

Crystal-clear footage filled the room.

Every second...

Every word...

Every expression.

Eleonora begging for mercy.

Sophia laughing.

The violent shove.

The maid sinking.

Guests cheering.

And then...

One more detail nobody had noticed that night.

Just before Sophia pushed Eleonora...

Victor Lancaster made eye contact with his daughter from across the terrace.

He didn't stop her.

Instead...

He nodded.

A tiny movement.

Barely noticeable.

But unmistakable.

The detective slowly turned toward Victor.

"Would you like to explain that?"

Victor couldn't speak.

Sophia burst into tears.

"Dad..."

"You told me nobody would care!"

The detectives exchanged shocked glances.

"You told her... what?"

Sophia covered her mouth.

She had just revealed more than she realized.

May you like

The lead detective quietly closed his notebook.

"I believe we're done asking questions."
