CHAPTER 3 — “The Men Who Came to the Wedding Weren’t Guests”

The black SUV stopped directly outside the ballroom entrance.
For a few seconds, no one inside noticed.
Everyone was still staring at Adrian, the bride, the little girl, and the documents scattered across the floor.
Then the first gunmetal-gray door opened.
Three men in dark suits stepped out.
They didn’t carry gifts.
They didn’t smile.
And they didn’t look surprised.
The elderly woman grabbed the little girl’s shoulder.
“They found us,” she whispered.
Adrian’s face turned even whiter.
“Who are they?”
The old woman looked at him with disgust.
“The same men your father paid eight years ago.”
The bride froze.
“Your father?”
At that exact moment, Adrian’s father, billionaire Edward Cross, stood from the front row.
His calm expression was gone.
“Security,” he said coldly, “remove the child.”
The entire room gasped.
Adrian slowly turned toward him.
“You knew?”
Edward adjusted his cufflinks like nothing had happened.
“That child was a mistake that could have ruined this family.”
The little girl hid behind the elderly woman, shaking.
Adrian finally understood.
His daughter had not disappeared because of an accident.
She had been erased.
By his own family.
And now the men at the door had returned to make sure the truth never left that wedding.
But before they could enter…
The bride raised her phone.
A red light was blinking.
She had been livestreaming the entire confession.

And more than 80,000 people were already watching.
