Project Widow was not just fraud.
It was a plan.
Adrian had prepared for Emma’s destruction long before the divorce.
Inside the folder were fake medical reports.
Fake psychiatric evaluations.
Draft statements claiming Emma was unstable.
There were even emails discussing how to make the public believe she had imagined her role in the company.
Emma stared at the screen in horror.
He had not only erased her from the business.
He had planned to erase her from reality.
Then she found the final file.
A video.
It showed Adrian talking to Vanessa in his private office.
Vanessa whispered,
“If Emma fights back, what do we do?”
Adrian smiled coldly.
“Then we make sure no one believes her.”
Emma stepped back from the desk.
For the first time since court...
She cried.
Not because she was weak.
But because she finally understood the full truth.
The man she once loved had never simply betrayed her.
He had hunted her.
That afternoon, Emma called a full emergency board meeting.
Every executive appeared nervous.
Some had helped Adrian.
Some had stayed silent.
Some had profited from her disappearance.
Emma entered the room carrying the black drive.
She placed it in the center of the table.
Then she said,
“You have two choices.”
“Tell the truth today.”
“Or let the investigators find it tomorrow.”
Nobody moved.
Then one senior executive broke down.
