While investigators searched Julian's financial records, Clara quietly watched Emily coloring with broken crayons at the witness table.
Something felt strangely familiar.
The child's smile.
Her dimples.
Even the way she tilted her head.
Judge Thornton noticed it too.
She looked toward Vanessa.
"Who is Emily's biological father?"
Vanessa hesitated.
Then lied.
"My late brother."
Emily innocently interrupted.
"No."
Everyone looked at her.
"My daddy is sitting over there."
She pointed directly...
at Julian.
Vanessa burst into tears.
"It's not true!"
Emily frowned.
"But Daddy says I have his eyes."
The courtroom ordered an emergency DNA test.
Forty-eight tense hours later...
the results arrived.

Julian Cross was Emily's biological father.

He had secretly lived a second family for six years.

Hidden property.
