Chapter 3 - The Shadow Prodigy

Facebook Hook: "They tried to hide her in the slums. But the internet just found out who she really is!"The revelation hit the room like a bomb.

Evelyn didn't flinch. Instead, she let out a cold, mocking laugh. "Julian died twenty years ago, Preston. This girl is seven. Do the math. She is an impostor trying to blackmail our family."

Naomi stood up, her face burning with a mix of fear and old, buried rage. "I never asked for your money, Mrs. Hale! And I never asked for your name. Julian was my older brother's best friend. He left this locket with me before he disappeared. He told me if anything ever happened to him, the music inside this locket would protect his legacy. I didn't know what he meant... until Lily started playing."

Preston stepped forward, his eyes scanning the tiny apartment until they landed on a cracked, old radio on the windowsill. "The song she played tonight... it wasn't on the radio, was it, Naomi?"

Naomi swallowed hard and shook her head. "No. It’s a melody Julian wrote before he died. He called it 'The Symphony of the Scars.' He never published it. I used to hum it to Lily when she was a baby to get her to sleep."

Preston’s breath caught. Julian hadn't committed suicide because of madness, as the family empire claimed. He had been erased because he wanted to give his music to the world for free, defying the commercial greed of the Hale Corporation. And now, his music lived on in the mind of a child who couldn't even afford shoes.

"This ends now," Evelyn ordered her guards. "Destroy the locket. Burn the room if you have to."

But Preston was faster. He pulled out his phone, revealing a glowing red light. "Too late, Mother. I've been live-streaming this entire conversation to three million followers on my official page."

The bodyguards froze. Evelyn’s face twisted into an ugly mask of horror as she realized the golden, untouchable reputation she had spent decades building was shattering in real-time. Comments were flooding the screen at lightning speed:

“Oh my god, the Hale family is evil!”

“Protect that little girl!”

The Chapter 3 Cliffhanger: Evelyn realized she had lost the battle, but not the war. She leaned into Naomi’s ear and whispered, "You think public opinion will save you? Tomorrow, the courts will belong to me. Enjoy your daughter while you can, because I am declaring her mentally unfit and taking full custody of Julian's biological legacy."
