Nora was no longer just Vale Harbor’s head of estate management; she had been appointed as the Director of Corporate Philanthropy for the newly established Vale-Parker Community Foundation, funded generously by Ethan to support working-class families pursuing education in STEM fields.

And Lily Parker—now twelve years old, with her trademark sharp gray eyes and an insatiable curiosity—spent her Friday afternoons not waiting quietly in the breakfast nook, but sitting right beside Ethan at his master terminal, sketching out complex, innovative algorithms for next-generation quantum security firewalls.

One Friday afternoon, as the golden Pacific sun dipped below the horizon, painting the sky in brilliant strokes of amber and violet, Ethan sat back in his wingback chair and watched Lily effortlessly debug a complex block of code on the secondary monitor.

"You missed a semicolon on line forty-two, Mr. Ethan," Lily said casually without looking up from her screen.

Ethan chuckled, shaking his head in mock defeat. He leaned over, corrected the line, and watched the simulation execute successfully, green status lights flashing across the entire grid.
