Chapter 4 - PSYCHOLOGICAL WARFAREThree weeks later, the stadium was packed with thirty thousand screaming fans. Million-dollar camera rigs hovered over the arena, and millions tuned in from home. The tension was palpable.

Emma arrived surrounded by a massive entourage of elite coaches, sports psychologists, and personal trainers. She wore custom titanium shooting gear valued at over fifty thousand dollars.

Sarah walked onto the range alone. She wore simple canvas sports pants, a plain white t-shirt, and carried a standard, off-the-rack target rifle provided by the organizers. She didn't have sponsors. She didn't have a team. She only had her cold, unwavering focus.

"Look at you," Emma sneered as they stepped into their adjacent shooting bays. "No custom suit, no high-tech optics. You really think you can beat me with surplus junk?"

Sarah adjusted her ear protectors without looking at Emma. "A weapon is just steel and wood, Emma. It's the mind behind it that makes it fly."

The announcer’s voice boomed over the loudspeakers: "Welcome to the historic exhibition duel! Format: Three rounds. Round 1: 50-Meter Standard Rifle. Round 2: 100-Meter Dynamic Moving Targets. Round 3: The Extreme Distance Blind Shot. Shooters, prepare your stations!"

The horn sounded for Round 1.

Emma took her stance. She was a master of standard conditions. Her rifle crackled rhythmically: BANG! BANG! BANG! Ten shots, perfect rhythm.

Score: 108.9 out of 109. A near-perfect score that drew thunderous applause from her supporters. Emma flashed a triumphant smile toward Sarah.

Sarah stepped up to the line. She took a deep breath, matching her heart rate to the rhythm of her pulse.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

Her shooting speed was twice as fast as Emma's. The electronic scoreboard updated instantly.

Score: 109.0 OUT OF 109. A absolute perfect score!

The crowd erupted into wild cheers. Emma’s face twisted in anger.

"That was just warm-up!" Emma muttered under her breath, her calm beginning to crumble. "Let's see how you handle real movement!"
