Chapter 8 - A Father’s Promise KeptThe sun was setting over the Manhattan skyline, painting the glass towers in shades of amber and blood-red.

Sebastian stood on the balcony of his newly acquired penthouse suite—the very same building where he had once faced ruin. Down below, a limousine waited to take him to a very special dinner.
Inside the expansive living room, his daughters were laughing, playing board games with a team of private tutors and caregivers who actually cared about their well-being. They were safe, they were loved, and they never had to worry about where their next meal was coming from.
The door opened, and Marcus Vance stepped out onto the balcony, handing Sebastian a crystal glass of sparkling water.
"Well, little brother," Marcus smiled warmly. "The empire is yours. The vipers have been cast out into the cold. Are you satisfied?"

Sebastian took a slow sip, looking out at the city that had once tried to crush him, before glancing back inside at his daughters, whose bright laughter filled the empty spaces of his once-lonely heart.
"Satisfied?" Sebastian murmured, a genuine, peaceful smile touching his lips for the first time in years. "No, Marcus. This is just the beginning."
