The remaining corrupt board members sat paralyzed in their chairs, waiting for the axe to fall on them as well.
Chairman Kang raised his hand slightly. Two of his corporate attorneys immediately stepped forward, handing termination letters to every corrupt director sitting at the table.
“Your resignations are effective immediately,” Chairman Kang stated coldly. “Failure to sign will result in immediate joint-liability prosecution alongside Mrs. Han.”
Without hesitation, every single corrupt director grabbed a pen and signed away their positions, fleeing the room like rats abandoning a sinking ship.
Within five minutes, the massive boardroom was empty, save for Chairman Kang, myself, and the quiet hum of the ventilation system.
I stood at the head of the table—the exact seat my father had occupied before his tragic passing. I placed my hand gently on the polished walnut surface, feeling the weight of the legacy I had fought so hard to reclaim.
Chairman Kang stood up slowly, walked over beside me, and offered a warm, approving smile.
“Well, Seo-yeon,” he said quietly. “It turns out my hundred-dollar investment yielded the greatest return in Miran Group history.”
