Chapter 9 - The Final ReckoningThe handcuffs clicked around Julian’s wrists with a sharp, metallic ring that silenced the entire forty-fifth floor.

Julian thrashed against Marcus’s grip, his polished composure completely shattered, revealing the desperate, cornered animal underneath. “You can’t do this! I built this company while you were playing charity worker! You’re nothing without me, Nathan! You hear me? NOTHING!”
“I was never nothing, Julian,” Nathan replied quietly as the guards dragged his cousin toward the private elevators. “I was just waiting for the right reason to fight.”
As the elevator doors slid shut on Julian’s furious face, the heavy silence of the boardroom returned.
The senior board members sat frozen in their leather chairs, looking up at Nathan with a mixture of shock, awe, and newfound terror. Nathan didn't sit in the CEO’s chair. Instead, he picked up the folder containing the children’s legal guardianship papers, signed his name at the bottom in bold, decisive strokes, and closed the cover.

He didn't wait for their response. He turned on his heel and walked out.
