Chapter 7 - The Downfall and the Awakening"You're committing corporate suicide!" Eleanor shrieked, standing up in absolute horror. "You'll be sent to federal prison! Harrington Developments will be liquidated!"

"Let it burn," Blake said calmly. "For ten years, I built an empire on the backs of people like Maya’s family. I sat in this room and looked at spreadsheets where human lives were reduced to profit margins and demolition percentages. I thought I was a visionary. Turns out, I was just a monster in an expensive suit."

He turned to Maya, who looked up from her coloring book, giving him a small, hesitant smile. That smile anchored him. For the first time in his adult life, Blake felt clean.

"Marcus Vance and Arthur Pendelton," Blake said, turning his gaze back to the terrified men at the table, "your keys, your security passes, and your resignation letters are expected on this table in sixty seconds. If you refuse, I'll let the federal investigators handle your indictments personally."

Marcus stared at Blake, realizing there was no bargaining with him anymore. Defeated, he pulled his ID badge from his pocket, dropped it onto the table, and walked out of the boardroom without a word, followed closely by a sweating Arthur Pendelton.

The remaining board members sat in paralyzed shock, realizing that Blake Harrington had just detonated his own multi-billion-dollar empire—not with a wrecking ball, but with truth.
