Chapter 5 - The Corporate AmbushThe 30th-floor boardroom of Boon Industries was a cathedral of glass, chrome, and ruthless ambition.

At 10:00 AM sharp, the heavy glass doors opened, and Julian Boon—a slick, arrogant man in his late thirties wearing a custom-tailored navy suit—strode in with an air of absolute triumph. Behind him trailed three corporate attorneys and several trembling board members who had already aligned themselves with his coup.

Julian stood at the head of the long marble conference table, clearing his throat.

“Ladies and gentlemen,” Julian announced, flashing a practiced, shark-like smile. “As you know, my uncle Silas has regrettably succumbed to failing health and cognitive decline. For his own safety and the stability of Boon Industries, I have called this emergency session to invoke Clause 9 of the corporate charter and assume full control—”

Clack. Clack. Clack.

The boardroom doors swung wide open.

Julian stopped mid-sentence, his smile freezing on his face.

Silas Boon walked in. He wasn't leaning on a cane, nor did he look confused or frail. He walked with the terrifying, unshakeable authority of a titan who had built an empire from the ground up.

And walking right beside him, wearing a sharp new designer suit that fit his broad frame perfectly, was Raymond Wilson.

“Uncle Silas...?” Julian stammered, the color draining rapidly from his face. “How... how are you here? The doctors said—”

“The doctors you bribed, Julian?” Silas finished smoothly, taking his seat at the head of the table. “Impresario performance, really. But I’m afraid my mind is sharper today than it has ever been.”

Julian slammed his hand onto the marble table, his face flushing crimson with blind rage. “This is a sham! Who the hell is this brute standing next to you?! Is this some kind of sick joke? Guards, throw this vagrant out of my building!”
