She retreated to the nursery. Her hands trembled as she pulled out the document. It was a settlement report for the "Horizon Tower Incident."
The document confirmed that the structural failure wasn't negligence. It was a cost-cutting measure—cheaper steel and fraudulent inspection reports signed off by Ryan Hale himself to finish the project six months early.
