Chapter 10 - THE SUNRISE OF A NEW LIFEClare walked into the nursery. She had kept the wooden crib. She placed Emma and Lily inside, their breathing rhythmic and peaceful.

She walked to the window and looked out at the sunrise. The Horizon Tower was gone, and with it, the shadow of the past.

She looked at her reflection. She wasn't the woman digging through trash anymore. She was a survivor. She was a mother. And for the first time in years, she wasn't waiting for the worst to happen.

Ryan stood in the doorway, a tray of coffee in his hands. He didn't speak, he just stood there—a billionaire who had lost his fortune to find his heart.

Clare smiled.
