Chapter 7 - THE REVENGE OF THE SILENCEDThe unexpected burst of fire and smoke caught Captain Morales and his men off guard. The fire alarm shrieked, triggering the ceiling sprinklers, which showered the room in cold water, creating a dense cloud of blinding steam.

“Shoot them!” Morales roared, wiping water from his eyes.
BANG! BANG!
Gunfire echoed through the steam, but the shots splintered into the concrete wall behind the empty bed. Daniela and Renata had already rolled off the far side, crawling rapidly toward the emergency exit door built into the back of the suite.
Just as Morales cleared his vision and aimed toward the exit, the heavy wooden main door smashed inward.
“FEDERAL AGENTS! DROP YOUR WEAPONS!”
A squad of elite federal tactical officers—deployed by the Special Prosecutor’s Office following Daniela’s leak—flooded the room with flashbangs and heavy rifles.
Blinding light and deafening booms filled the corridor. Morales and his mercenaries were tackled to the floor before they could fire another round, their weapons clattering across the wet tiles.
Renata helped Daniela to her feet, supporting her weight as they stumbled out into the secure rear hallway, where federal agents immediately escorted them to a bulletproof SUV waiting in the hospital bay.
Twenty minutes later, Daniela was sitting safely inside the fortified Federal Security Command Center in central Guadalajara. Her breathing was heavy, her body exhausted, but her mind was crystal clear.
Sitting in an interrogation room across the glass from her was Sebastián Ledesma.
He was wearing handcuffs, his pristine suit torn and covered in sweat, his hands shaking violently as two federal prosecutors presented him with a mountain of evidence.
Daniela tapped the glass, signaling the agent to turn on the interior intercom.
Sebastián looked up, his eyes locking onto Daniela through the one-way mirror. He knew she was watching.
“Daniela!” Sebastián screamed at the glass, his voice cracking with utter desperation. “Please! Tell them it’s a mistake! I love you! Everything I did was for us! For our future!”
Daniela pressed the intercom button, her voice echoing clearly inside his interrogation room.
“Six years ago, Sebastián, you told me that no one would ever believe a woman who was 'too emotional,'” Daniela said, her voice smooth, calm, and utterly devoid of mercy. “You told me you owned the city, you owned the police, and you owned my family.”
“I was wrong! I was crazy!” Sebastián sobbed, slamming his cuffed hands against the metal table. “Please, call off the prosecutors! Don Roberto’s men will kill me in prison if they find out I lost their money!”
“That sounds like a personal problem, Sebastián,” Daniela replied coldly. “You spent six years collecting signatures to steal my life. Today, I signed the only document that matters.”
She held up a piece of paper against the glass.
It was an official federal seizure order, transferring total ownership of all remaining legitimate corporate infrastructure, patents, and property from Ledesma & Ortega Financial directly into a non-profit trust under her sole control.

“You have nothing left, Sebastián,” Daniela said softly. “No money. No reputation. No freedom. And most importantly... no wife.”
She released the button, turning her back on his frantic screams as federal agents dragged him away toward a maximum-security prison transport van.
