Chapter 15 - Midnight at O’Hare Terminal

The private aviation tarmac at O’Hare was slick with rain under the glare of massive floodlights. A sleek Gulfstream private jet touched down smoothly, taxiing toward Hangar 4.

Dominic Rossi stepped down the aircraft stairs, flanked by six heavily armed guards, his tailored cashmere coat billowing in the wind. He smiled with cold arrogance, expecting a welcoming committee of frightened local capos.

Instead, the hangar doors slid open to reveal absolute emptiness.

"What is this?" Rossi barked, turning to his head of security. "Where are the local representatives?"

Before his guard could answer, every light in the hangar flickered and died. Emergency red strobe lights ignited overhead, casting a bloody wash across the concrete floor.

Simultaneously, the heavy steel exit doors of the hangar locked with a deafening clank, sealing automatically via the remote override Sarah operated from the estate command center miles away.

"Welcome to Chicago, Mr. Rossi," a deep voice echoed from the shadows.

Julian Morty stepped forward into the crimson light, followed by two dozen elite operatives whose weapons were already leveled at Rossi’s entourage.
