Chapter 5 - THE LIVE-STREAMED CONFRONTATION"My name is Sarah Miller," I gasped into the front camera, my face covered in soot, blood, and gray drywall dust, the dark, echoing sewer tunnel visible behind me. "If you are watching this, my eight-month-old daughter Lily is in the Pediatric ICU at St. Jude’s Hospital. My husband and Vanguard Enterprises have been poisoning residential homes..."

The comments on the Facebook stream began moving at lightspeed. user123: Is this real?! Someone call the police! MamaBear99: Oh my God, look at her face! Where are you?! News8_Reporter: Sarah, stay live! We are broadcasting this on local television right now!
Suddenly, the heavy iron grate at the end of the sewer tunnel clanged open.
Standing above the storm drain entrance, framed by the moonlight and flanked by armed men, was Arthur Vance himself—the legendary billionaire real estate tycoon. Beside him stood my husband, Mark, holding a bloody towel to his wrist, looking down at me with pathetic cowardice.
"Turn off the camera, Sarah," Arthur Vance said calmly, his voice amplified through a megaphones. "You are making a very foolish emotional scene. No one will believe a hysterical, grieving mother over a multi-billion-dollar corporation."
"They don't have to believe my words, Vance!" I screamed, holding up my phone to show his face clearly to the tens of thousands of people watching the live stream. "They are watching you right now! Over 100,000 people are watching this live stream! Look at the camera, Vance! Show the world who you are!"
Vance’s calm facade cracked. He glanced nervously at his phone, which began ringing violently—likely his corporate board and attorneys calling in a panic.
"Kill the stream!" Vance hissed to his chief security guard. "Grab her!"

Two armed men scrambled down the ladder into the sewer, pulling out suppressed handguns.
Daisy let out a ferocious bark and leaped forward into the freezing water, tackling the first gunman into the mud. I turned and ran into the deeper, darker tunnels of the underground system, holding the camera high, determined to keep the world watching until help arrived.
