Chapter 20 - The Eternal GameClara didn't panic. She reached calmly into the top drawer of her mahogany desk, her fingers closing around the cold, heavy steel of a pearl-handled revolver—the very same gun Victoria once kept in the study.

She clicked off the safety, the metallic click echoing crisply through the dark room.

"Whoever you are," Clara called out, her voice steady and absolute, "come out where I can see you. Because this time, I'm not playing by your rules."

From the doorway, a tall silhouette emerged into the pale moonlight filtering through the glass wall. A figure stepped forward, the glowing blue light of a burner phone illuminating half of a familiar, smiling face.

"Good evening, CEO Vance," a synthesized, distorted voice whispered into the dark. "Let's see if you survive level two."

Before the figure could step closer, Clara raised the weapon, pulled the trigger, and shattered the glass window behind him, letting the midnight storm wind rush in—proving once and for all that she was the storm.
