Chapter 16 - The Sunset Over the HarborTwo weeks after Bianca’s unexpected visit, the morning sun broke over the harbor in a brilliant wash of gold and crimson light.

Matteo stood on the private observation deck of Bellini Logistics' new corporate headquarters—a towering glass-and-steel skyscraper overlooking the shipping yards where dozens of container ships bearing the company crest were preparing to set sail.
His phone buzzed in his pocket. He pulled it out and tapped the screen.
It was a text message from his mother:
“Don't forget to pick up three crates of fresh basil from the morning market before you come down to the diner tonight. General Sterling is bringing his famous wine collection, and we’re testing a new recipe for the weekend rush.”
Matteo smiled, shaking his head as he typed back a quick reply: “On it, Mom. See you at six.”
He locked his phone and slipped it back into his pocket, turning his gaze toward the endless expanse of the ocean where the horizon met the sky in a seamless line of brilliant blue.
He had spent years trying to climb out of the neighborhood, trying to prove himself to a world that judged people by their bloodlines and bank balances. But standing here now, at the absolute summit of his career, he realized a profound truth: the greatest strength he possessed didn't come from the corporate towers or the shipping contracts.
It came from the flour-dusted hands of a woman who had taught him how to stand tall, how to work with honor, and how to love without condition.
The intercom on his desk chimed softly.

“Mr. Bellini,” Sarah’s voice came through. “The board of directors is waiting in conference room B for the quarterly review.”
“Tell them to start without me, Sarah,” Matteo said, walking toward the private elevator. “I have a delivery to make.”
