Chapter 5 - The Financial SlaughterDaniel backed away until his spine hit the cold steel of the vault wall. “E-Emily?!” he gasped, his voice cracking. “No... no! You’re dead! You fell into the sea!”

“You really should have checked if I took swimming lessons after my accident, Daniel,” Emily said, her voice smooth as ice, terrifyingly calm.

She held up her tablet screen. On it was a live transaction receipt. Using Victoria’s authorization codes combined with her own biometric voice verification—which only the real Emily possessed—she hadn't just secured her trust fund. She had authorized a complete liquid seizure of every asset connected to Vance Enterprises as compensation for attempted murder and fraud.

$120 million had just vanished from the Vance brothers' offshore accounts in a matter of seconds, redirected to an untraceable Swiss vault managed by Marcus Kane.

“You’re broke, Daniel,” Emily smiled, her eyes cold as winter. “By noon, every check your company issues will bounce. By 2:00 PM, your investors will panic. And by 4:00 PM, the cartel you owe money to for that illegal shipping line will realize you don't have their cash.”

“You crazy bitch!” Daniel screamed, dropping his suave persona completely. He lunged forward, reaching for her neck.

CRACK!

Marcus Kane stepped from behind the heavy vault door, bringing the butt of a tactical flashlight down hard across Daniel’s jaw. Daniel crumpled to the carpeted floor, clutching his bleeding face, groaning in agony.

“That was for framing me three years ago, Daniel,” Marcus said coldly, stepping over him.

Emily stepped close to her groaning husband, kneeling down beside him. She leaned in, her breath cold against his ear.

“I’m not giving you to the police yet, Daniel. That would be too merciful. I want you and Michael to tear each other apart first.”

She dropped a burner phone onto his chest. On the screen was a video file that had just been sent to Michael’s phone five seconds ago.

It was an edited audio recording—crafted by Emily—that made it sound like Daniel was planning to kill Michael and flee the country alone with the remaining cartel money.

“Brothers always turn on each other when the money runs out,” Emily whispered. “Go home, Daniel. Your twin is waiting for you.”

Chapter Hook: Daniel scrambled off the floor, grabbing his face, frantically trying to call Michael as he ran out of the bank. But Michael didn't answer. When Daniel finally pulled up to their secluded estate, he found the front gates smashed open. Inside the house, gunshots rang out into the night.
