CHAPTER 2 — One Movement Changed Everything

Viktor grinned.

"You finally found your courage?"

He stepped into a fighting stance.

The students instinctively formed a circle, expecting the cleaner to panic.

Instead...

She stood perfectly still.

No dramatic pose.

No intimidation.

Just calm breathing.

Balanced posture.

Relaxed shoulders.

The oldest assistant coach frowned.

Something felt strangely familiar.

Viktor attacked first.

A lightning-fast front kick followed by a spinning back fist—his trademark tournament combination.

The students had seen opponents freeze against it countless times.

But before anyone understood what happened...

The young woman shifted one step.

Only one.

The kick sliced through empty air.

Without striking him, she gently redirected his momentum with a controlled movement.

Viktor stumbled several feet across the mat before barely catching his balance.

Silence.

Nobody laughed.

Nobody breathed.

He looked stunned.

"You got lucky," he growled.

He attacked again.

This time faster.

Again...

She avoided every movement with almost effortless precision.

Not once did she try to hit him.

Not once did she lose control.

She simply allowed him to defeat himself.

The students watched in disbelief.

One whispered,

"She's reading him..."

Another muttered,

"That's impossible."

After the fourth failed attack, Viktor's breathing became heavy.

Sweat rolled down his forehead.

For the first time in years...

His confidence cracked.

Then something even stranger happened.

An elderly man entered through the side door.

The receptionist rushed behind him.

Several regional karate officials followed.

The athletes immediately recognized them.

The annual certification committee.

They had arrived unexpectedly.

The old man's eyes moved from Viktor...

To the young cleaner.

His expression changed completely.

He bowed.

Deeply.

Every athlete froze.

"Master Elena..."

The entire hall went silent.

Viktor stared in disbelief.

"What... did you just call her?"

The elderly official answered quietly.

"The woman you insulted..."

May you like

"...is the instructor who evaluated half the black belts in this region."

The mop on the floor suddenly looked heavier than any trophy hanging on the walls.
