CHAPTER 1 – The Boy Who Refused to Stay Silent

The courtroom was so quiet that even the ticking clock echoed through the walls.
Twelve-year-old Ethan Carter stood alone behind the witness stand, his small hands trembling as hundreds of eyes stared at him. Across the room sat the wealthy businessman accused of killing Ethan's father—smiling as though the trial had already been won.
The jury avoided looking at the boy.
His mother sat in the front row, tears streaming down her face. She had begged Ethan not to testify. The people they were fighting were too rich... too powerful... and far too dangerous.
The defense attorney smirked.
"Your Honor," he said confidently, "this child is emotional. His testimony is nothing but imagination."
Several people nodded.
Then Ethan slowly lifted his head.
His frightened expression disappeared.
Instead, he stared directly at the judge.
"I've been waiting months to tell the truth," he whispered.
The courtroom froze.
The judge leaned forward.
"What truth, son?"
Ethan slowly raised his shaking finger...
...and pointed directly at the man sitting beside the defense attorney.
Gasps filled the room.
"He's lying," Ethan said. "Not just about my dad..."
"...he was there the night my father died."
The businessman instantly turned pale.
His lawyer jumped to his feet.
"Objection!"
But Ethan didn't stop.
"I saw everything."
His mother's eyes widened in horror.
She had never told anyone that Ethan had secretly followed his father that night.
No one knew.
Except Ethan.
The room erupted into chaos.
The judge slammed the gavel again and again.
"ORDER!"
Ethan took a deep breath...
Then reached into his pocket.
May you like
"I brought something..."
Something nobody knew still existed.
