Chapter 10 - The Unseen ObserverFar away from the luxury of Philadelphia, in a dimly lit penthouse overlooking the glittering skyline of Zurich, a single man sat in the shadows.

He swirled a glass of vintage scotch, watching a live news broadcast on a wall-mounted monitor detailing the total collapse of Thomas Warren’s syndicate and the triumphant rise of the Sterling-Vale Foundation.

The man’s face remained hidden in darkness, save for the faint glow of the screen reflecting off a silver signet ring on his right hand—bearing the exact same crest that had been found carved into the antique ledger in Arthur Sterling’s vault.

He didn't look angry. He didn't look defeated.

Instead, a slow, calculated smile spread across his face. He lifted his glass toward the monitor, as if toasting the victors miles away.

"Well played, Nicholas," a low voice murmured into the empty room. "You cleared out the dead weight. But a chessboard is never truly empty."

He reached out and tapped a key on his private terminal, bringing up a secure file labeled: Project Vanguard - Phase Two.

The game was far from over.
