Chapter 2 - THE GRAVEDIGGER'S SECRET 💥Viral Hook Title: THEY DUG UP THE FRESH GRAVE AT MIDNIGHT... WHAT WAS INSIDE THE COFFIN WAS NOT A HUMAN BODY!The rain poured down in sheets over Saint Jude’s Cemetery, turning the dirt pathways into torrents of thick, brown mud. Lightning flashed across the ink-black sky, illuminating the towering stone angels and crumbling mausoleums.

Elena pulled her rain hood lower, hiding her face as she ducked behind a massive oak tree. Beside her stood Mark, clutching a heavy leather bag containing crowbars, flashlights, and a high-resolution camera.
"Are you 100% sure about this, El?" Mark whispered, his voice trembling under the sound of thunder. "If we get caught digging up Victoria Vance’s grave four hours after her funeral, we are going to federal prison."
"Look at the footage again, Mark!" Elena snapped softly, thrusting her phone into his hand. "She was breathing! Her heart was beating! Aris forged the death certificate, and that family buried her fast so nobody would ask questions!"
Mark looked at the screen, his face turning pale as he watched the terrifying video of the syringe injection. "Jesus Christ... who was that guy in the raincoat?"
"I don't know, but we have less than an hour before the oxygen in that casket runs out—if she hasn't already suffocated," Elena said grimly.
They sprinted through the mud toward the newest plot in the elite section of the cemetery. The Vance family plot was surrounded by black iron railings, adorned with dozens of white floral wreaths that were now soaked and drooping in the storm.
The earth over Victoria’s grave was freshly turned, loose dark soil piled high.
"Start digging," Elena ordered, plunging a small garden spade into the earth.
For forty-five minutes, they worked in frantic silence. The rain washed away their sweat, but their limbs burned with exhaustion. Mud caked their clothes, hands, and faces. Finally, five feet down, Mark’s shovel hit something hard with a dull, hollow THUD.
Wood.
"We hit it!" Mark panted.
They quickly cleared the remaining dirt off the polished mahogany lid of the luxury casket. The gold-plated handles gleamed ominously under the beam of Elena’s flashlight.
"Hold the flashlight," Mark said, taking out a crowbar and wedging it under the central brass lock. He braced his foot against the muddy wall of the pit and pulled with all his strength.
With a sickening CRACK, the lock snapped.
Elena held her breath, tears stinging her eyes. "Victoria! Hang on!"
Together, they heaved the heavy mahogany lid upward.
The flashlight beam plunged into the interior of the coffin.
Elena let out a choked gasp, falling backward into the mud. Mark stumbled, nearly dropping his flashlights.
The velvet-lined casket was EMPTY.
There was no bride. No lace dress. No flowers.
Instead, resting at the bottom of the luxurious silk lining was a full-sized, heavily weighted anatomical mannequin, dressed in a replica of Victoria’s wedding gown. Attached to the head of the mannequin was a red, pulsing electronic device with a digital timer counting down from 00:04:12.
"What... what is this?" Mark stammered, his eyes wide with horror. "Where is the body?!"
"It was a setup," Elena whispered, her blood freezing. "They didn't bury her... they faked the burial to get rid of the paper trail!"
Suddenly, the digital timer on the device hit 00:00:00.
A high-pitched, screeching alarm erupted from the device inside the coffin, echoing wildly across the empty cemetery. At the exact same second, bright halogen floodlights snapped on all around the perimeter of the Vance family plot, blinding both of them.
"STAY RIGHT THERE! DON'T MOVE!" a booming voice roared over a megaphone.
Elena shielded her eyes. Through the glare of the lights, she saw five armed men in black tactical gear advancing toward the pit, their rifles pointed directly at her and Mark.
Behind the tactical team walked two men protected under large black umbrellas.
One was Dr. Aris, wearing his clinical white coat over his suit.
The other was Julian Vance—the handsome, icy-eyed groom. He wore his tailored wedding tuxedo, his face utterly devoid of emotion. He looked down into the muddy pit at Elena with cold contempt.
"I warned you, Elena," Dr. Aris sighed, shaking his head. "I told you that curiosity in this building will get you killed."
Julian Vance stepped to the edge of the pit, taking a slow drag from a silver cigarette case. He looked at the opened, empty coffin, then down at Elena’s mud-stained face.
"You're remarkably persistent for a low-wage morgue attendant," Julian said, his voice terrifyingly smooth. "You actually thought I put my beautiful bride in the dirt?"
"Where is she?!" Elena screamed, scrambling to her feet despite the red laser dots targeting her chest. "Where is Victoria?!"
Julian smiled—a cruel, beautiful smile.
"She’s exactly where she belongs," Julian replied. "In the operating theater. And since you and your brother have shown such an immense interest in our family’s medical affairs... I think you two should join her as fresh donors."

Julian nodded to the tactical team. "Kill the brother. Bring the girl to the basement."
"NO!" Elena shrieked as two guards raised their rifles toward Mark.
