Chapter 6 - THE RED REVENGE 💥Viral Hook Title: THE GROOM PULLED THE TRIGGER... BUT THE PERSON WHO TOOK THE BULLET WILL SHOCK THE WORLD!"Drop her," Julian ordered, his finger tightening around the trigger of the pistol. "Drop her on the floor, or I blow your brains out right now."

Elena stood her ground, clutching the paralyzed Victoria tightly to her chest. She could feel Victoria’s heart beating rapidly against her ribs—a fast, terrified rhythm.

"You're a monster, Julian," Elena spat, staring directly into his eyes. "She loved you! She stood at the altar believing you were going to spend the rest of your life with her!"

Julian laughed—a dry, soulless sound. "Love? Victoria was a orphan with a perfect genetic code. She was an investment. I spent six months playing the charming boyfriend just to get her signature on the marriage certificate so I would have legal power of attorney over her body."

"You won't get away with this," Elena said. "My brother is recording everything. The police will be here in minutes!"

"The chief of police is currently upstairs in my living room drinking my twenty-year-old scotch," Julian replied coldly. "No one is coming to save you."

He took a step forward, raising the gun to Elena’s forehead. "Goodbye, little morgue girl."

CLICK.

Before Julian could pull the trigger, a loud, ear-splitting crash echoed through the hallway.

Dr. Mercer had rammed a heavy metal industrial laundry cart directly into the two armed guards standing behind Julian, sending them crashing into the wall.

"RUN, ELENA!" Mercer screamed, pulling a flare gun from her coat and firing it directly into Julian’s face.

BSHHHHHH!

A blinding wave of bright red fire and smoke erupted in the narrow hallway. Julian shrieked in pain, dropping his gun as the blinding magnesium flare ignited his suit jacket.

"SHOOT THEM! KILL THEM ALL!" Julian screamed, clutching his burned face as he stumbled backward into the wall.

The remaining guard raised his shotgun, firing wildly through the thick red smoke.

BOOM!

The blast tore through the wall tile right above Elena’s head, showering her with concrete dust and sharp splinters.

Mark rushed out from the dark alcove, pulling Elena and Victoria into a side storage room and slamming the heavy steel door shut. He shoved a heavy iron bar through the door handles, locking it from the inside.

BANG! BANG! BANG!

The guards began hammering on the steel door from the outside, their heavy boots kicking the metal frame.

"This door won't hold for more than two minutes!" Mark shouted, his eyes darting frantically around the small storage room.

The room was filled with pressurized tanks of medical oxygen, liquid nitrogen containers, and chemical cleaning supplies.

Elena laid Victoria gently on a rolling gurney. She looked down at the bride’s face.

Victoria’s paralyzing agent was slowly beginning to wear off. Her eyelids fluttered, and her fingers were twanging with small, jerky motions. She was fighting the drug with everything she had.

Victoria looked up at Elena, her lips moving faintly.

"Speak... speak to me, Victoria," Elena begged, leaning down.

"The... nitrogen..." Victoria whispered, her voice a barely audible, raspy scratch. "The... blue valve..."

Elena turned around, looking at a massive, vertical steel tank marked LIQUID NITROGEN - DANGER: EXTREME COLD / HIGH PRESSURE.

A thick blue valve was connected to a heavy rubber hose pointing toward the door frame.

Mark’s eyes lit up. "If we release liquid nitrogen into the hallway through the door vent, it will freeze the lock mechanism and displace all the oxygen! They won't be able to breathe!"

"Do it!" Elena yelled.

Mark grabbed the heavy hose, jamming the nozzle directly into the bottom ventilation slot of the steel door. He grabbed the blue iron valve wheel and cranked it open with all his strength.

HISSSSSS!

A roaring cloud of sub-zero liquid nitrogen vapor surged through the hose, blasting into the hallway outside.

Immediately, high-pitched screams erupted from the other side of the door.

"WHAT IS THAT?! MY EYES! I CAN'T BREATHE! IT'S FREEZING!"

The sounds of heavy footsteps scrambling away and men collapsing onto the tile floor echoed through the metal door. Within thirty seconds, the banging stopped completely. The hallway went terrifyingly silent, save for the hiss of the gas.

Mark shut off the valve. Elena carefully peeked through the small reinforced glass window in the door.

The hallway outside was covered in a thick layer of white frost. The three security guards lay motionless on the ice-covered floor, their weapons frozen and covered in ice crystals.

Julian Vance was gone. A trail of bloody footprints led away down the frost-covered hallway toward Suite A.

"He went back to his father," Elena said, her voice dropping to a icy register. "He’s going to execute the other donors and erase the evidence!"

She snatched a heavy steel crowbar from the tool rack on the wall.

"Elena, what are you doing?!" Mark yelled.

"I'm finishing this," Elena said, her eyes flashing with pure rage. "Stay here with Victoria. Lock the door from the inside."

May you like

"Elena, no!"

Elena didn't listen. She kicked open the frozen storage room door, stepped over the unconscious guards, and marched directly toward the heavy double doors of Suite A.
