The celebration outside Hale Mercy Hospital came to a standstill.
Hundreds of cameras turned toward the woman in the wheelchair.

Leading them was a gray-haired attorney carrying a sealed legal case.
He looked directly at Jonathan.
"Mr. Hale..."
"We've finally found the evidence."
Jonathan frowned.
"What evidence?"
The attorney opened the case.
Inside were decades-old bank records, secret contracts, and a signed confession.
"The man who separated you and Emily..."
"...didn't act alone."
Jonathan's face turned pale.
"Who helped him?"
The attorney hesitated before answering.
"The chairman of the hospital board."
